optimisic of this movie although i liked the preview i was still just a little optimistic to spend 15 dollars on it but after watching it i bought it right after seeing it. this movie has non stop action and its very entertaining. the only part i didnt like is the angels transforming into monsters but i over looked that and was still able to enjoy it the people that hate on this movie must think of theirselves as critics which they are not this movie was made to be fun to watch which it is. paul bettany was great and so was the rest of the cast so if your thinking about buying DO IT. He is recruited to join a group of selected students that will lead to Las Vegas every weekend and so, to put in practice the odds of blackjack in their favor. </p> <p>This game of mouse and cat, defying the scrutinizer eye of the croupiers and safeguards of the casino, plus the flavor of the adrenaline in every single bet makes of this sympathetic plot a nice film to watch and enjoy it.</p> <p>Don’t forget the name of this promising talent of acting: Jim Sturguess whose naturalness before the camera (somehow he reminds me to Steve MacQuuen in this issue), is outstanding. I probably shouldn’t mention these distinct parts because they are interwoven so seamlessly in the documentary that they form one coherent whole. They tell a tight story of a man who is separated from his family for most of his life, of two nations providing distinct opportunities, and of a son who emulates his father’s pitching success in many ways but with completely different financial results. Maybe you think you know the story, but you don’t. Trust me, there are surprises. The end is so beautiful, it hurts. How amazing is it to watch a director transcend both the sports documentary and biopic traps? You might imagine that if you don’t care about baseball or Cuba that this is not a film for you.
